The person behind Wild Heart Marketing
I started Wild Heart Marketing because I believe the organisations doing the most important work in the world often struggle the most to talk about it. That felt like a problem worth solving.
Hi, I’m Laura
I spent 19 years working in marketing — starting as a coordinator and eventually leading the UK marketing team for a global agricultural business. I worked on rebrands, product launches, community building, digital transformation, campaigns, content, events and everything in between. I loved it.
Wild Heart Marketing exists for the organisations doing genuinely good things – in conservation, sustainable travel, ethical food and drink, farm diversification, and beyond. The ones with a real story to tell, who just need help telling it clearly and honestly.
I work in two ways; alongside clients as a thinking partner, and independently producing work that’s built to last. I’m honest when something isn’t working, I’ll tell you things you might not want to hear, and I genuinely care whether what we build together makes a difference.
Outside of work, you’ll find me wildlife spotting, exploring somewhere new, or spending time with the people closest to me – which is precisely why I built Wild Heart Marketing the way I did. Work should fund a life worth living, not replace it.
Why a Sunflower?
The sunflower yellow that runs through everything Wild Heart Marketing does isn’t an accident, and it isn’t just a brand colour.
It was my mum’s favourite colour. She passed away suddenly ten years ago, and I think about her every day.
The sunflower itself matters too. It’s one of the most important plants for wildlife – a vital source of pollen for insects and seeds for birds. It faces toward the light. It’s generous, bright, and purposeful. It felt right.
Building a business that’s genuinely about doing good work for good people felt like the right way to honour both of those things. The colour is a small, daily reminder of why it matters.
What I Believe In
These aren’t words on a wall. They shape every decision I make about who I work with, how I work, and what I’m willing to say.
Joy First
Work exists to fund a life fully lived, with the people who matter, in places worth seeing, doing things worth doing. I built this business around that, not despite it.
Integrity Always
I say what I believe. I recommend what I’d stand behind. I won’t take work I think is wrong, however convenient it would be. Honesty isn’t a policy, it’s just how I work.
People Over Output
The human beings in every room; clients, teams, audiences – matter more than any deliverable. Always. Marketing that forgets this eventually stops working.
Connection
Real relationships, not client accounts. I work best alongside people, building things together. If you want someone to just send deliverables and disappear, I’m probably not your person.
Purpose
I only do work that means something. Organisations trying to make a genuine difference. Nothing hollow, nothing I can’t stand behind. Life’s too short for marketing that doesn’t matter.
Fairness
Clear pricing, honest timelines, no hidden agendas. You should always know what you’re getting and what it costs. Surprises are fine in life. They’re not fine in invoices.
20 years of doing the actual work
Not theory. Not templates. Real marketing, delivered in real organisations, for real audiences.
What I’ve Done
Led UK marketing for a global agricultural business for over a decade – managing brand, campaigns, digital, content, events and a marketing team.
Delivered a full UK rebrand – from market research through to website launch, social media, asset creation, agency management and stakeholder buy-in.
Partnered in building a national grower community from scratch – online groups, regional events, expert sessions, PR participation, and genuine brand advocacy.
Launched a new seed brand and corporate identity in the US market – built from the ground up, working with local teams and specialist agencies.
Transformed an ad-hoc marketing function into a strategic one – introducing planning frameworks, evaluation tools, automated reporting, and a more capable, confident team.

Sounds Like a Good Fit?
If you’re doing meaningful work and you’d like marketing support from someone who genuinely cares about it, let’s have a conversation.
Common questions about working with me
Q: Where are you based and do you work nationally or globally?
A: I’m based in Lincolnshire but work remotely with clients across the UK.
Location is no barrier as all my services can be delivered online, and I travel for in-person sessions where it adds genuine value.
I’m very happy to explore opportunities to work with international clients too.
Q: Do you only work with charities?
A: No, I work with any purpose-driven organisation doing genuinely good things.
That includes charities, social enterprises, ethical consumer brands, B Corps, farm diversification projects, sustainable travel businesses, and values-led small businesses.
Q: How do I know if we're a good fit?
A: Book a free 30-minute discovery call.
We’ll have an honest conversation about where you are and what you need. If I don’t think I’m the right person, I’ll say so and point you in the direction of someone who can from my trusted network.
